LeBron James is considering signing with the Miami Heat and New York Knicks before "making a decision." According to former Washington Wizards guard Gilbert Arenas, James and his team are looking to head to two different Eastern Conference teams in 2010, one of which is the Knicks.

The Knicks are trying to create a package that will lure James to New York. They had pursued Joe Johnson, but he decided to stay in Atlanta. When the Knicks learned that James wanted to play with Mike Miller, they offered the sharpshooter $60 million.

However, Miller rejected the offer and signed with Miami for $30 million. According to Arians, Miller did this to join James and Miami's super team.

Former big man Charles Oakley wrote in his memoir that the real reason LeBron James didn't want to play for the Knicks was owner James Dolan. Oakley claims that the reason James told him he would never play for the team was Dolan.

Bill Simmons of The Ringer confirms this claim, saying that while the Knicks' court appealed to James, the meeting was a disaster because "Dolan is Dolan."

In 2010, the Knicks had a chance to sign LeBron James, but it was ruined by James Dolan. As a result, James went to Miami and won two championships that he could have won in New York if Dolan wasn't the owner.
